Happy Filing Day! Today is the day that candidates across the state take their first step to become official candidates. At Emerge NM, we are so excited because today is a day to celebrate all of the progress we’ve made.
Thanks to your support, we’ve trained 7 classes. 16 Emerge graduates hold elected office, from the NM Supreme Court to the State Legislature to School Board. And on this day two years ago, we had our biggest year ever when 15 Emerge women announced they were running for office in 2012. We thought we were excited then…
Today we already have a record-breaking 17 Emergistas who have announced they are running for office this year, and more will announce throughout the day!
